Dorota is a Consultant Solicitor within our Family team, with special expertise in matrimonial and children cases with a foreign element, including international child abduction and cross-jurisdictional divorce and maintenance matters.
A recognised expert in her area, Dorota has provided her opinion and assistance in cases involving the implementation of English Court Orders, especially in Eastern Europe, and recognition of foreign orders in England. She has close links with Law Firms in Poland and other European countries enabling her to have conduct of various cross-jurisdictional matters.
Being an Accredited Higher Rights Solicitor Advocate with rights of audience to appear in the higher courts, Dorota possesses strong advocacy skills. She has undertaken the conduct of numerous complex cases throughout England, providing her own advocacy which gives continuity for her clients. She is fluent in Polish, with a good grasp of conversational German and Russian.
Aside from her day to day work, she has delivered many seminars and guest lectures on International Family Law both in England and abroad for the legal profession and students including at Leeds Beckett University and the Law School at Opole University, Poland.
