Joanne joined Slater Heelis in 2024 as a Solicitor in the Family Department, specialising in financial matters arising from divorce/dissolution and arrangements for children, including applications for relocation outside of the jurisdiction of England and Wales.
Joanne is highly regarded for her calm and thorough approach and her compassion when dealing with sensitive issues following relationship breakdown. She is keen to ensure that her clients have a clear understanding of the process and timescales involved so that they can be reassured that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
As a member of Resolution, she is committed to resolving family disputes in a constructive and non-confrontational way.
Joanne graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2013 with a qualifying law degree, following which she spent a number of years working for specialist family law firms across the North West where she gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of family law.
She successfully qualified as a Solicitor in September 2022.
Joanne has represented high-net-worth clients in cases involving companies and assets worth in excess of £1 million. She has also represented clients in international child relocation cases to non-Hague convention countries.
Outside of work, Joanne enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her friends and family and taking her dog on countryside walks.
