Gabriella Basiuk

Biography

Gabriella has been with Slater Heelis since January 2019, joining the firm after graduating from the University of Manchester with a first-class degree in Law. Prior to starting her Training Contract, Gabriella worked as a Paralegal within the Family team and also assisted in the Crime and Regulatory department.

Alongside her role at the firm, she studied part-time and attained her LPC qualification in October 2021. Gabriella completed her training contract across various seats in the business, qualifying back into the Family team in October 2022.

Gabriella is the treasurer for Manchester Young Resolution (YRes), a network of family solicitors up to 10 years PQE who are committed to a constructive approach to family law issues, championing principles of collaboration, integrity, and considering the needs of the whole family when advising on legal matters.

In 2025, Gabriella won the Manchester YRes Rising Star of the Year award, an award that recognises young solicitors who demonstrate excellence, professionalism, and dedication to achieving positive outcomes for families and children. Gabriella’s award is a testament to her commitment to these principles.
