Carla Murray

Biography

Carla is a Partner and Head of Commercial, specialising in Commercial Law, IT Law and Intellectual Property Rights. Carla joined us in 2025 from Myerson Solicitors, where she spent nearly 17 years working within the Corporate/Commercial team before heading the Commercial Team.

Carla’s strong Commercial/IT background means she is able to provide valuable assistance to a variety of clients operating in a range of sectors, including Technology, Life Sciences and Media and Entertainment. Carla also has an in-depth knowledge of data protection.

Carla’s commercial work includes drafting and negotiating commercial agreements from both a supplier and customer perspective, agency agreements, distribution agreements and standard terms and conditions for the supply of services and goods on both a business-to-business and business-to-consumer basis. Carla acts for plc’s SMEs, small start-ups and owner-managed companies.

Carla’s tech specialism means she has a wealth of experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of technology contracts, including software development agreements, app development agreements, platform development and supply agreements, SaaS agreements and software licensing, hosting and maintenance agreements. Carla has also supported in-house counsel with the commercial and tech requirements.  As part of her work in the tech sector, Carla has assisted businesses operating in life sciences and financial services, taking healthcare technologies and financial technologies to market.

Carla is a member of the Society for Computers and Law (SCL) and has consistently been recognised by The Legal 500 as a Leading Individual for IT/Technology Law.
