Biography

Clare provides advice on a wide range of Court of Protection and Personal Injury Trust matters, including the administration of professional deputyship cases, advice on applications to the Court of Protection and the creation and administration of high-value Personal Injury Trusts.

Clare uses her decades of experience in this specialist area of law to support clients and their families in navigating the complex issues that arise when dealing with care and support needs, mental capacity challenges and managing damages following a catastrophic injury.

Known for combining her technical knowledge with a down-to-earth approach, Clare works closely with social care professionals and colleagues across the legal and financial services sector who seek advice from clients and service users.

Clare frequently works alongside litigation lawyers who are dealing with high value personal injury claims to advise on how best claimants can preserve damages awards and manage significant funds on a long-term basis.

Clare is a Trust & Estate Practitioner and a full member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers. Clare is a Mental Health First Aider and is a member of the Dementia Friendly Leeds steering group.
