Helen Marsh

Biography

Helen joined Slater Heelis in 2026 and is based mainly in our Manchester office.

Having qualified as a solicitor in 2002, Helen has over 20 years’ experience in commercial property and has been a Partner since 2015. She has earned a reputation for her expertise in landlord and tenant work in the hospitality, retail, office and warehouse sectors and has acted for known brands with 200+ stores to entrepreneurs taking on their first site.  Helen also specialises in corporate property work as part of the sale and purchase of companies, as well as undertaking general commercial property sales and purchases.  Helen has built a loyal client base and prides herself on delivering a tailored, responsive service in a down-to-earth manner.

Helen has been published in Drapers for her professional views on independent retailers as well as on landlord/tenant collaboration and lease trends in the retail sector post-Covid.

Helen is a Leading Partner and Recommended Laywer in the 2026 UK Legal 500 law directory.

Helen has been an active committee member of the Manchester Law Society Commercial Property Committee since 2017.

Outside of work, Helen’s passion is for foreign travel – when time allows around a busy professional and family life – and she has been fortunate to have travelled to some far-flung places as well as some fantastic places closer to home. She has also developed a keen interest in women’s football through taking her daughter to matches and training in recent years.
