At Slater Heelis, we are dedicated to making a lasting impact on our local communities. As we celebrate our 250th anniversary, we’re proud of our commitment to giving back through volunteer work and support for local charities and organisations. Our culture of giving is at the heart of our firm, and we invite you to join us in making a difference together.

At Slater Heelis, we are dedicated to making a lasting impact on our local communities. As we celebrate our 250th anniversary, we’re proud of our commitment to giving back through volunteer work and support for local charities and organisations.

To commemorate our 250th Anniversary, we gave every employee an additional day of leave to be used to volunteer at one of our charity partners or a charity of their choice. These volunteering opportunities gave our team the chance to connect with local organisations and with each other, spending an enriching day giving back to the community.

While arranging these volunteering opportunities, we also wanted to provide a platform for the charities we were working with. At each major event, we film our experience there and invite a spokesperson from the charity to spread the word about their incredible cause. You can watch an example below:

These volunteering days have spanned many important causes, from supporting a local foodbank at the Mustard Tree, helping run sports events with Seashell Trust, gardening on the grounds of St. Ann’s Hospice, and providing volunteers to staff Pride weekends for LGBT Foundation and Sparkle.

Alongside these initiatives, we also support the incredible fundraising work undertaken by our staff. Through providing opportunities to walk, run, swim and cycle with various charities, and celebrating those efforts through our intranet, we help people support the causes near and dear to their hearts.
