Slater Heelis’ Court of Protection specialists understand the challenges that London-based residents of care homes can face when managing their finances. We have established relationships with 25 local authorities and have extensive experience working with care homes to manage the finances of vulnerable residents.
Our team are knowledgeable in managing the assets of individuals who lack mental capacity or are frail and vulnerable. We have two Panel-Appointed Deputies and a Panel Guardian within the team who are well-versed in managing the affairs of those who require support.
At Slater Heelis, we recognise that many residents may not have a support system or family members who can help them manage their finances. Therefore, we work closely with care homes and act as either an Attorney or Deputy for residents who need assistance with managing their finances.
This includes managing assets, selling homes, paying debts, and ensuring that care home fees are paid promptly. We can also manage overseas assets and take care of residents’ bank accounts on a day-to-day basis.
