Laura Burnett

Biography
Laura is an Associate Partner in our Employment team. She qualified as an employment solicitor in 2010, having worked as a paralegal specialising in employment law for 18 months prior to qualification.
Laura has a wealth of Employment Law and HR knowledge, advising clients on all employment issues ranging from day-to-day HR matters to complex matters such as TUPE, redundancy and discrimination. Not only has Laura advised companies from public and commercial sectors (care, education, charity, public relations and food and manufacturing for example) but she regularly advises and represents individuals with their tribunal claims. Laura will also advise on non-contentious matters for both employees and employers by drafting/ reviewing contracts of employment and handbooks and policies.
Laura’s management experience in her previous role has enabled her to gain extensive experience in conducting workplace meetings such as disciplinary and investigation meetings, probation and performance management meetings and welfare meetings.
Laura understands the needs of both employer and employee clients and offers pragmatic and commercial advice to help clients resolve their employment issues.
She also serves as a Neurodiversity Champion, accredited by the National Autistic Society, advocating for greater awareness and support for neurodivergent individuals.
