At Slater Heelis, our strength lies in the diversity of our employees. We are committed to nurturing an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to bring their unique perspectives and experiences to our firm.
We support equal opportunity in the workplace, and it is important to us that everyone is treated as an individual and is entitled to work in an inclusive environment to enable every employee to reach their full potential.
By encouraging cooperation and teamwork, we believe we can treat all employees fairly and ethically regardless of race, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, religion or religious belief, age, disability, or social background. This commitment is also true in the provision of services to our clients.
We are accredited by the LGBT Foundation and are proud to have several employees (across all levels ) who have completed Pride in Practice training to become LGBTQ+ Champions. They work closely with senior management and leaders across the firm to advise on best practice in ensuring that we provide an inclusive environment for both LGBTQ+ members utilising our services and our Slater Heelis employees.
The firm is committed to developing and implementing best practice in equality, diversity and inclusion, not only as an employer but also as a provider of legal services to our wider community.
All our employees and those acting on behalf of the firm are required to adhere to the firm’s equality and diversity policy which covers employees, clients and third-party suppliers.
The firm has been a signatory of the Law Society Diversity and Inclusion Charter since 2013 and assisted the Law Society with their full review of the Charter.
More recently, in 2023, Slater Heelis was recognised for its efforts towards inclusion in the workplace by the Manchester Legal Awards by being shortlisted as a finalist for the category of EDI.
