Slater Heelis has further strengthened its highly regarded Court of Protection team with the appointment of Oliver Banks as Partner.
Oliver brings a wealth of experience advising on all aspects of deputyship and Court of Protection applications, with particular expertise in managing high-value compensation awards for clients who have sustained life-changing injuries. Known for his empathetic, client-centred approach, Oliver supports individuals and families through complex and sensitive situations with both professionalism and care.
As an active Committee Member of The Professional Deputies Forum, Oliver plays a key role in promoting best practice and professional standards within the sector. His appointment represents a strategic step in Slater Heelis’ ongoing commitment to expanding its specialist offering and supporting the growing demand for expert Court of Protection services.

The appointment comes during a period of significant expansion for the department, which has recently welcomed several new team members as demand for its services continues to rise. Rebecca De Stefano, a Chartered Legal Executive, joins the team bringing a strong background in family law and experience managing highly sensitive matters. She has also developed a niche area of practice supporting Spanish-speaking clients and community organisations.
Shazna Mumu and Hannah Maynard also join as Paralegals Both bring experience across wills and probate and employment law with Hannah also having experience in clinical negligence and Shazna in personal injury, family law and conveyancing, further enhancing the team’s breadth of expertise.

The team’s operational strength has also been bolstered by the return of Jordan Calder as Operations Manager and the addition of Amelia Bennett as Accounts Assistant, both of whom play a key role in ensuring the department runs efficiently and effectively.
