At Slater Heelis, we are constantly striving to provide the best possible service to our clients. As we celebrate our 250th anniversary, we are excited to share the news that we have acquired Altrincham-based insolvency law specialists N J Goodman & Co for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition will strengthen our existing offerings and help us further solidify our full-service proposition.

Joining Forces for a Stronger Slater Heelis

We are delighted to welcome all four staff members from N J Goodman & Co to our Slater Heelis family, including the firm’s owner. They will be based at our new headquarters at Crossgate House in Sale, and we are eager to see the synergy that arises from bringing these two talented teams together.

N J Goodman & Co has a long-established reputation as a solicitor’s practice that offers specialist advice in insolvency law. As they join our already established corporate, employment, and dispute resolution teams, we look forward to providing even more comprehensive and practical legal advice to our clients.

Expanding Our Suite of Services with Insolvency Law Expertise

With the addition of insolvency law to our suite of services, we can now offer practical, expert advice in all areas of law and related matters for individuals, sole traders, partners, directors, companies, shareholders, creditors, insolvency practitioners, and other advisers alike. This expansion ensures that we continue to be your trusted partner in navigating complex legal issues.

Our dedication to being personable, identifiable, and likeable remains as strong as ever. We know that the team at N J Goodman & Co shares our values; they have built a solid reputation in the industry and, most importantly, are a pleasure to work with. We are thrilled to welcome them and their clients into the Slater Heelis family.

Owner Nick Goodman expressed their excitement about the merger, saying, “Slater Heelis is built on solid foundations, and we are really excited to merge our teams together. Between both parties, we now have a real breadth and depth of experience in dealing with commercial disputes and insolvency law. Together, we can ensure we fully support those who find themselves in these difficult situations.”

“Slater Heelis has a history and heritage that very few can boast about, and we are proud to become a part of it.”

Chris added: “As we continue through our quarter-of-a-century year, we have ambitious plans to reach a 250-strong workforce and achieve 250 staff volunteer days, alongside continuing our charitable activities and Wellness & Wellbeing programme, so N J Goodman & Co has joined the business at an exciting time.”
