This year, we launched our “250 Charity days for 250 Years” initiative with a flying start. This initiative gives all our employees a paid day off to volunteer at a local charity or organisation so we can give back to our communities.
In February, we sent nine volunteers to The Mustard Tree in Ancoats to support their incredible work in combatting poverty in the Greater Manchester area. Our volunteers got involved with a few of their many services that provide food, furniture, education and community to those struggling with housing insecurity in the local area, including stocking shelves at their community shop, and offloading furniture donations from their vans.
While we were there, we were able to sit down with Volunteering & Social Value Manager, Will Hall, to discuss the important work they do, and how individuals and businesses can get involved and make a difference in their community.
