Disrupt? Peterloo and Protest

March 20, 2019, By

We are delighted to announce our sponsorship of the Peterloo Massacre exhibition at the People’s History Museum, Manchester.

Entitled Disrupt? Peterloo and Protest, the exhibition commemorates 200 years since the Peterloo Massacre in Manchester in 1819 and highlights its relevance today, examining issues within our democracy that people are campaigning for 200 years on.

Running from Saturday 23 March 2019 to Sunday 23 February 2020 the exhibition features objects, including original Peterloo artefacts, brought together for the very first time, alongside pieces telling more recent stories of protest.

The firm’s roots date back to 1773 and, at the time of the Peterloo Massacre, it was already one of the established law firms in Manchester City Centre.

Slater Heelis remains proud of its heritage and connection to Manchester and is thrilled to support this incredibly important exhibition at the People’s History Museum.
