We are proud to announce our partnership with FC United of Manchester, becoming the club’s inaugural Business Club sponsor. This collaboration reflects our long-standing commitment to supporting the sporting sector and fostering community growth, inclusivity and social impact across Greater Manchester.
The FC United Business Club, which launched three years ago, has rapidly grown into a dynamic platform for local businesses, professionals and enterprises to connect and network in a unique setting while supporting football.
Frances Fielding, General Manager at FC United, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Slater Heelis as our first-ever Business Club Sponsor. Their commitment to both business and sport makes them the perfect partner to help us grow our network and enhance our impact across Greater Manchester. We’re looking forward to seeing this partnership grow over the coming season.”
As part of the sponsorship, we will host and support a series of business networking events at Broadhurst Park, beginning with the first on Tuesday, 16th September, 5:00–7:45pm. Attendees will also have the opportunity to stay and watch FC United take on Morpeth Town, offering a unique blend of professional engagement and community spirit.
At the premier event, Debbie Coyne, Partner and Head of the Employment Law team here at Slater Heelis will deliver a practical seminar under the theme: ‘From Flexibility to Fairness: Understanding the Future of Zero Hour Contracts’. Her session will provide critical insights into the evolving legal and ethical landscape surrounding flexible employment arrangements, equipping business leaders with the knowledge needed to navigate upcoming legislative changes.
Kristen Drummond, our Head of Marketing, who led on the agreement, added: “This partnership with FC United is a natural next step in our commitment to supporting sport at all levels. From advising individual athletes to working with clubs and sporting organisations, this is an area we’re passionate about and we want people to know that.
“FC United stands for integrity, ambition and community, which mirrors our own values as a firm. We’re excited to be part of something that brings people together and makes a real difference on and off the pitch.”
In addition to sponsoring the Business Club, we will also be supporting the club’s vital community initiatives throughout the season. This includes backing FC United’s Christmas Toy Appeal, Big Coat Day donations and becoming a match sponsor at a selected home fixture during the season.
