We’re excited to announce a series of well-earned promotions across our legal teams, reinforcing our commitment to career progression and professional development from within. Following a rigorous application and assessment process, 10 individuals have now been recognised for their outstanding contributions and dedication.
The wills and probate team has seen promotions for four individuals, with Charlotte Otton and Ashleigh Kelly both promoted to Associate Partner whilst Richard Kershaw and Paul Baker assume new roles as Associate Solicitors. The residential property team sees promotion for David Jones to Associate Partner and Helen Taylor to Associate Chartered Legal Executive.
Alex Barley has been promoted to Partner in the personal injury team and Claire MacKenzie is now Partner in Court of Protection. Finally, Chloe Huggins is promoted to Associate Solicitor in the family team and Laura Bennett to Associate Partner in the employment law team.
These promotions follow an internal application process, which invites colleagues to apply for career progression based on a structured evaluation of their achievements, performance metrics, leadership potential, and contributions to the firm’s success.
Candidates underwent a thorough review process, including endorsement by their department head, submission of a personal statement, evaluation of key performance indicators, and, at the partner level, the development of a strategic business plan. Final interviews with the Executive Team assessed leadership, legal expertise, client value, business development initiatives and commitment to the firm’s core values before announcements were made.
Rachel Fletcher, Managing Partner, said: “We are incredibly proud of our newly promoted colleagues, whose dedication and talent continue to enhance our firm’s reputation and service excellence. Their promotions reflect not only their professional achievements but also their commitment to collaboration, innovation and delivering exceptional client outcomes, which is at the very heart of our business ethos. At Slater Heelis, we are passionate about nurturing talent, and we look forward to seeing them flourish in their new roles.”
We remain committed to providing all team members with clear pathways for career advancement, ensuring that talent is recognised, rewarded, and developed in alignment with the firm’s long-term strategic goals.
