On Thursday, 27th February, we held our In Conversation event with Sacha Lord at HOME in Manchester. Hosted by Channel 5’s Claire Hannah, the pair talked us through entertaining tales of Sacha’s life, from founding Parklife and the Warehouse Project to his pivotal role as Chair of the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA).
The event began with Lord sharing insights into his educational background. After leaving school with two U grades and an E at A-level, Sacha began his career at Sankeys Soap. During this period, he discovered his passion for music, leading to the establishment of the midweek rave nights at The Hacienda in 1994.
Lord reflected on events in his book, Tales from the Dancefloor, including details about the Warehouse Project’s groundbreaking approach to drug testing and being the first event company in the UK to introduce such measures.
Check out our video highlights below for an exhilarating glimpse into the vibrant life of Sacha Lord.
