As a firm, we are passionate about doing our part to support the local community and create awareness for some amazing charities. For the latest venture, Partner and Head of Private Client, Chris Partington has completed The Three Lakes Challenge to raise funds for Henshaws a charity supporting people living with slight loss and a range of other disabilities across the North of England.
The Three Lakes Challenge consists of canoeing across the largest lakes in England (Lake Windemere), Wales (Bala) and Scotland (Loch Awe); making it a tough test for even the most experienced rowers.
Commenting on his experience, Chris said: “I’m pleased to confirm that Eric and I managed to survive the Three Lakes Challenge over the weekend and didn’t fall in once!
“We were paddling for a total of 9 hours 46 minutes, add that to driving time of 8 hours 28 minutes between lakes (not including 8 hours driving before and after the challenge) gives a total time of 18 hours 14 minutes. The paddle time puts us 14th in the British Canoeing rankings which we’re quite happy with.
“We’ve managed to raise a total of £889.50 so far which is brilliant – thank you to everyone who has sponsored us, we both really appreciate your support.”
