We are thrilled to be supporting the Dianne Oxberry Trust as one of our chosen charities for 2020.
Following a short and sudden battle with ovarian cancer, the much-loved BBC broadcaster Dianne Oxberry died in early 2019. To raise awareness and funds for vital research into the disease, her husband, Ian Hindle, set up the Dianne Oxberry Trust in her honour.
Dianne was a well-known resident of Sale and loved by everyone who knew her, whether personally or through their television screens.
As a local Sale business, where some of our colleagues knew Dianne, we are thrilled to announce that we are supporting the Dianne Oxberry Trust as one of our chosen charities for 2020.
We believe that it makes perfect sense to be supporting a local charity working towards raising awareness, funds and hope to other women and their families who are affected by ovarian cancer.
Having seen great successes in the fundraising and work done in the first year of the trust, we are keen to further support the fantastic work being done in memory of the much-loved Dianne.

Dianne was not only a much loved TV and radio presenter, she was also a long standing resident of Sale who brought so much to the local community. Dianne’s tragic death has had a devastating impact locally and nationally. The charity, set up by Dianne’s husband Ian, has done phenomenal work in its first year in raising awareness of ovarian cancer and in particular its symptoms. We are keen to support the charity’s ongoing work in memory of Dianne.”
One of the first things our colleagues will be doing for DOT is donning their trainers and joggers to run the Manchester 10k in May! Keep an eye out for fundraising activities and events throughout 2020 as we bring together colleagues and the community to do great things for the Dianne Oxberry Trust. We will be sharing updates on our fundraising progress throughout the year on our blog and social media channels.
