Our latest In Conversation with sees the visit of legendary property developer David Russell, CEO & Founder of Property Alliance Group. David will be joined by his son, Alex, who joined the family firm two years ago and is currently taking up the role of MD.
Who is David Russell?
Born in Rochdale as one of nine children, David is now one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the North West, developing iconic properties in Manchester such as No 3 St Peter’s Square and Oxygen Towers.
Starting his career as a carpenter, David founded the kitchen manufacturing company Farouche Cuisine at the age of 19. Ten years later he sold a business with 36 branches nationwide, over 3,000 staff, and a turnover of £38million.
After a short break, David set his sights on the property market. Alliance is now 26 years old, with David’s unique blend of commercial acumen and background in construction allowing this new venture to thrive and build up an enviable portfolio of developments including: Trident, Manchester Airport, 55 Portland Street and the forthcoming Axis Tower.
Alliance has a wholly owned portfolio of £240million, has achieved Manchester’s highest rents twice, and is showing no signs of slowing down.
