The Jewish Divorce process
In summary, a Jewish man or woman seeking to divorce will need to obtain a religious divorce (a ‘Get’) as well as a civil divorce otherwise according to Jewish law, they are both still married.
Where the husband refuses to participate in seeking the Get, or the wife refuses to accept the Get, section 10a of the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 provides that you can apply to delay a Decree Absolute until a Get is pronounced.
Our team can manage all other aspects of divorce in England in Wales, including financial settlements.
