Wendy Buckley Consultant Solicitor & Mediator

Wendy qualified as a solicitor in May 1993, having already gained over ten years’ experience in matrimonial and criminal practice as a paralegal. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Civil) in July 2005 and sits on a regular basis in the northwest region.

She has also since November 2010 been transferred and authorised to preside over family court including financial and children act matters

Wendy is also a Resolutions Trained Mediator having originally trained in 1999 and more recently refreshed her training following the Government’s initiative to promote mediation and other alternative dispute resolutions. Wendy is a firm supporter of Mediation, seeing it as a less controversial way of resolving the issues that arise out of relationship breakdown as well as being a quicker and cheaper option for couples.

Commenting on her approach to handling sensitive and frequently stressful family matters, Wendy says, “I am a very effective problem solver and can see through the "maze" of issues right from the start, so can resolve what first may appear to be a major problem quickly and effectively. It’s not only what I enjoy, but it’s also what I do best.”

Primarily, Wendy sees clients at our Sale office but can conduct client meetings at Dovecote House, if preferred.
